Juicy Fruit

Been involved with Chicago based PMMG and one of their recent events for worldwide fruit drinks giant - Tampico. PMMG asked me to produce a 3 minute motion graphics piece to kickstart their conference, mixing fruity and vibrant colours with underlying themes for the conference.

From my side of things, it involved Photoshop and Cinema 4D work to create the scenes and then After Effects for post work.

Abba are the Enemy

Illustration and design for ex Inspiral Carpets frontman, Tom Hingley’s band The Lovers. Abba are the Enemy was their debut album and they pretty much gave me a free reign on it, which was nice of them.

The work involved design for on-body CD, sleeve and fold out information poster.

Swim 4 Life / JWG

Swim 4 Life is an organisation headed up by Olympic medalist Steve Parry, to teach children how to swim and be safe in the water. To illustrate swimming techniques requires careful concentration on intricate movements of the body, and capturing this on video doesn’t always get the job done properly.

So, instead, I created and animated 4 characters swimming and having fun in the water, making quite sure that the required movements were technically correct.

The end of the line

This was part of a collection of animations produced through Code Computerlove for Hillary’s Blinds’ website. The process of creating blinds and the benefits and background information of the company, needed to be illustrated in an inventive way.

Rather than just showing the manufacturing process through video footage, we painted the scenario by an infinte moving line that forms shapes and imagery, while a voiceover narrates.

Deltoid Man

I’ve recently done some 3D animation work for Creative Lynx in Manchester, featuring ‘Deltoid Man’ - a contoured figure which demonstrates the injection points for a medical product.

Creative Lynx designed the initial concept, which I took away and built & animated.

Besides being used in an animated form, the concept is also adapted for press advertising.

Professor Gadget

This little guy is being used for a new online service helping technophobes with their technical difficulties. Can’t say much more than that at this stage, but it’s been nice to get a little simple 3D work into logo design.

The ‘Prof’ needs to look recognisable at very small icon sizes, so I’ve kept him as simple as possible.

Made in Manchester

Made in Manchester, an event taking place at The Ruby Lounge, where key influential figures in the music industry bring performance and marketing tips to the table, needed a brand and promotional material.

We created this ‘hands-on’ (no pun intended) branding which combined creative anarchy with industrial Hacienda days textures.

Anchor Staying Put Annual Report

The content of the Anchor Staying Put report reflects the harsh realities of run down housing in which they refurbish in order to improve the lifestyles of elderley people.

The report was designed in a way that illustrated the grim conditions which faced Anchor prior to commencing work.
